Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Wantok Market app. By creating an account you agree to them. Wantok Market is operated by Hyunki Kang ("we", "us").
1. Who can use Wantok Market
- You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- Use one account, signed in with your own Google account.
- You are responsible for what happens on your account.
2. What we do and do not do
- Wantok Market lets people list items, find items nearby and chat.
- We are not the buyer or the seller, and we are not part of any deal.
- We do not take payments, deliver items, or check items or users.
- Buyers and sellers agree on the price, payment and meeting between themselves.
- The app shows ads from other companies. We do not check the products or services in ads.
3. Listings
- List only items that you own and are allowed to sell.
- Describe items honestly and use your own photos.
- Show the real price, or mark the item free.
- Mark items reserved or sold when they are.
- You keep ownership of what you post. You allow us to store, copy and show it in the app while it is on Wantok Market.
4. Items you cannot sell
- Anything that is illegal to sell or own in Papua New Guinea
- Guns, ammunition, explosives and other weapons
- Drugs and prescription medicines
- Alcohol and tobacco
- Stolen goods
- Fake or copied brand goods
- Protected animals and plants, or their parts, where the law does not allow them to be sold
- Human remains or body parts
- Adult or sexual content
- Identity documents, and accounts or SIM cards registered to another person
Animals such as pigs, chickens and pets may be listed where selling them is legal.
5. Rules for using Wantok Market
- No scams or fake listings. Do not ask for money for items you do not have.
- No threats, harassment or hateful messages.
- No spam. Do not post the same item many times.
- Do not share other people's personal information.
- Do not try to break, overload or misuse the app.
6. Meeting and paying
- Meet in a busy public place, in daylight if you can.
- Check the item before you pay.
- Do not send money before you have seen the item.
- Keep your conversation in the app chat.
7. Reports, blocks and removal
- You can report listings and users, and block users. A blocked user cannot chat with you.
- A listing reported by three different users is hidden automatically.
- We may hide or delete listings, and suspend or delete accounts, that break these terms.
8. No warranty and limits of liability
Wantok Market is provided as it is. We do not promise that the app will always be available or free of errors, or that listings and users are accurate or honest. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses or damage that come from deals, meetings or items between users.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Wantok Market and delete your account at any time in the app under Account → Delete account. See Delete your account.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We post the new version on this page with a new date at least 7 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply.
